94: The Ocean

Revenge is a lazy form of grieving.

Esther Perel
The State of Affairs

You cannot break me. I am an ocean.

You cannot break my heart. You may as well try to break the tide.

You cannot break my spirit. You may as well try to stop the current.

You cannot break my love. You may as well try to drain the seas.

You are hurt. You are angry. You are vengeful. You too are also an ocean.

I cannot break you… but I don’t want too either.

  1. Wanders – #Infidelity is an outcome of an unskillful coping mechanism, everything else is a story someone imagines. Sharing thoughts and letters with those the men and women that #betrayed their Loves, lives, and selves too. What you do today matters most. All anyone can do is own the experience and practice doing better.

    Exactly.

  2. Spouse of a Sex Addict – I started writing this blog 1 year post DDay #1, and 8 months post DDay #2. It's been a difficult up and down journey, but writing has allowed me to make the most progress with healing and allowing myself to still love him.

This is so true. There is a saying – you are not a drop in the ocean, you are the ocean.

    I hope you’re well xo
